Good Design

designpony founder Julie Mills professes no particular affinity for horses, but after 16+ years in design, she was ready to ride on her own. So, in 2000, designpony was born with the idea of creating a successful difference in what we do for our clients: good design.

What does all this experience mean?
• Highly creative design solutions that transcend mediums
• Imaginative problem solving with a willingness to master any challenges
• Experienced project management with excellent organizational, decision-making and prioritization skills to deliver your project on-time and within budget
• Great communication with the whole team: clients, vendors etc.
• Curiosity
• Flexibility

Experience and Vision

The vision for designpony came out of Julie's wide range of experience in the graphic arts. After graduating with honors with a degree in Fine Arts she put her visual skills through their paces in Chicago as an exhibit designer, a publication and information designer, and a graphic artist in an architectural firm. After migration west to Oregon, Julie joined a team to develop software for kids. Ever-evolving, next came the dot-com era and all the while she's been drawing and painting.

Over the years, many projects that Julie has been a part of have been award-winning, including:

• Interiors Best Showroom 1995
• IIDA Award Best Showroom 1995
• Identity Magazine Best Environmental Graphics 1995
• Identity Magazine Award of Excellence 1996

Robert Huff, a firm partner, rounds out the team with his photographic vision. "Bob" has been shooting professionally for over 16 years for a diverse range of clients such as Vanilla Bicycles, May Company and Nike. He shoots film and digital - whatever you need, even both. People, places, things. Your place or ours? He also is a fine arts photographer with work in collections internationally.
